This project focused on designing a sustainable and cost-effective alternative for the YBS Medallion Band, aligning with the ethos of Samman. After exploring various material options, linen was chosen for its durability, breathability, and environmentally responsible qualities. The yarn was naturally dyed using onion peels, creating an earthy, organic tone that resonates with the values of authenticity and respect.

The band was crafted through crochet, inspired by the interconnected structure of DNA, symbolizing unity and continuity. Every loop and connection within the design reflects the idea of strength through interrelation, mirroring the collective spirit embodied by the YBS Medallion.

This project represents a thoughtful balance between material innovation, craft tradition, and symbolic design, redefining the medallion band as an emblem of sustainable identity and shared purpose.
